This is a model of Sultana. This was a club project. Several members built this model from plans that the project leader drew up.
The model was used to introduce people to carving a 'bread and butter' hull and to get practice at masting and rigging.
Members participating in the project worked at their own pace. Work in progress was brought to meetings on a regular basis. Any problems or difficulties in building the model were discussed. Those who participated in the project greatly improved their model making skills.
Though the model is essentially simple it does produce a very attractive result.
