Tanker Barge Norman McLeod Heading West At Morrisburg.

I stopped at Morrisburg, Ontario last week to photograph some memorials. While there Norman McLeod went past the Morrisburg Public Dock going upriver on the St. Lawrence. I took a few photos. Norman McLeod is a non powered barge, most often paired with the tugboat Everlast.

HMS Victory cross-section in 1:200 scale (part 1)

This is a work-in-progress of the HMS Victory. It is a 1:200 scale cross-section of the famous sailing battleship commanded by Admiral Nelson and victorious at the battle of Trafalgar in 1805. What is making this build so very difficult is that the box mailed from China did not have the instruction sheets in it. So everything is a guess based on photos of the real thing and of professional models of the Victory. It is an all-wood kit. Only the gun barrels are brass. Only after I reached the top deck and had planked the inside and out of the highest inner deck did I realize that the gun ports were in the wrong spots, and thus blocked the placement of the rigging. I also had to add an entry port after the fact. Plans would have helped. What yous ee below took about 20 days in April 2017. May should be for rigging. The kit comes from China's Aliexpress.com and costs about $30. John Clearwater ps: Happy May Day!
