Ed Chan's Ship Model Display at the Ottawa Boat Show

Long time Capital Marine Modellers' Guild member, Ed Chan, specializes in 1:700 scale ship models. As an example of how this scale works RMS Titanic has a length of 882 feet 9 inches (269.06 meters). Ed Chan's model of Titanic is 1/700 of that length or, slightly longer than fifteen inches (38 cm).

Ed brought out a small selection of his models and displayed them at the 2019 Ottawa Boat Show between February 18 to 24. He kindly photographed them so that visitors to this blog site can see them up close.

North Korea museum - boats

Here are photos I took in the heroic weapons section of the Fatherland Liberation War Museum in Pyongyang, DPRK, in late October 2018. Foreigners are rarely allowed in here, as it is reserved for Koreans. Foreigners are usually taken to the battlelfield scrap from the US military left behind in 1950-1953, and the US navy spy ship Pueblo.
