Plans for HMCS Haida

One of our members has produced some very good plans for a number of ships. Shown here is a plan he has drawn for HMCS Haida.

He has produced plans for Haida as she appeared in 1944 and in 1963. The plans are in 1:96 scale and include general arrangement profile, plan and hull lines. The plans are available for purchase from The Hobby Centre.

This may seem like a commercial plug, but it isn't. We are just proud of our members' accomplishments and their contribution to the hobby, which we wish to share with others.

Capital Marine Modellers' Guild

The Capital Marine Modellers' Guild is a social club for individuals interested in building model ships. It is located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The club is informal and operates on a not for profit basis.

Meetings provide members with a place to talk about their interests and to share their knowledge of model ship building. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of September, October, December, January, February, March, April and May at the Nepean Museum, 16 Rowley Ave at 7:00 p.m. New people are always welcome.

Schedule

The CMMG meets on the first Tuesday of each month from September to May at the Nepean Museum.

The location is:

16 Rowley Avenue at David Drive

Meetings begin at 19:00 and run until members stop talking at about 21:00

The CMMG is open to anyone who can pay the annual fee to become a member. The fee is $20 per year. The public is invited to observe a meeting for free.
